Obituary for Denis Lauzier

Denis  Lauzier
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Denis Lauzier, age 62, following complications from heart surgery.Denis was predeceased by his wife and high school sweetheart Thérѐse (2015). He leaves behind a precious daughter Michelle Lauzier-Lapointe (husband Jesse), and two beloved grandchildren, Salem and Inez. Denis is also survived by his mother Madeleine Lauzier, and two sisters, Berthe-Mance Lauzier (Betsy Berwick) & Claudette Lauzier of Ottawa. Also predeceased by his father Bertrand (1998), younger brother Pierre (1990) Nicole Harvey. Denis will be sadly mourned by his best friend and 'brother' Ron Paquin and his wife Claudia who spent countless hours in providing care and comfort to Denis through his illness. Thank you so much for your efforts. Denis will also be greatly missed by in-laws: Angèle Gougeon (Marcel), Lorraine Lafond (Elie), Suzanne Mallette (Dan), Louise Lafond, Gisèle Bradley, Claudette Mondor (Rémi), Mike Lafond (Debbie) and Dan Lafond. He will also be remembered by many nephews and nieces: Claudine, Philip and Pete Jr, Emilie Blaie, as well as Steve, Tracy & Erica, Chantal & Marc, Raina & Mikey, Dean & Dan, Renée & Joey, Derek & Candice, Samantha & Avery, Robert Elie & Maxim.
Over the last 40 years, Denis dedicated his life to trucking and hauling goods across North Ontario. Most recently, he was instructing new drivers on how to haul hazardous materials safely.
Denis was a devoted father, a hard worker, an easy-going gentle giant with a cheerful disposition and a kind heart. He loved country life, country music, dogs, birds, fishing, and most of all he loved to laugh.Special thanks to Père Simon Drapeau for being our friend and pastor at this difficult time. Funeral Mass will be held at 11am on Friday, March 3, 2017 from St. Joseph’s Church. Remembrance donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends from 9 am to 10:45 am on Friday, March 3, 2017 at the
