SPENCE, MARTHA (1945-2018) - It is with sadness that we announce the death of Martha Spence, a longtime resident of Timmins affectionately known as the "The Mocassin Lady" at the Golden Manor on Friday, February 9, 2018 at age 72 years. She was predeceased by her parents Daniel and Mary Spence as well as her brother Jimmy Spence. She is survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins as well as her dear friends at the Timmins Native Friendship Center. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from the St-Anthony Cathedral (Msgr. Pat Lafleur officiating). A feast will follow at the Timmins Native Friendship Centre. Remembrance donations to the Timmins Native Friendship Center in her honour would be greatly appreciated. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
